Directors, Carla Fonseca and Nthato Mokgata, are obsessed with telling stories. They believe in the power of healing through theatre, art and performance.

Since graduating from the University of Cape Town in 2010, Fonseca has focused her work on South Africa's historical and current societal traumas for nearly a decade.

She is vigorous in helping encourage a stronger theatre and performance art culture
within Southern Africa. Her work includes a variety of media to achieve her creative
objectives. She draws most of her inspiration from personal experiences, street art,
lowbrow art, African tradition and global affairs. Her zeal lies within Avant Garde
theatre and installation based performance art.

Through mediums of art, theatre, film and music, Fonseca & Mokgata have performed and worked in various countries of the globe including Australia, Belgium, Burkina Faso, China, Dubai, Denmark, Ethiopia, France, Germany, Italy, Kenya, Lesotho, Mozambique, Norway, Portugal, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Singapore, Sweden, UK, USA and Uganda.
